Ceylan Music Band

S. PARAMALINGAM : violin
GUILLAUME BARRAUD : bansuri
MICHAEL AVRON : guitar
MATTHIAS LABBE : tabla, percussion
B. PARAMALINGAM : mridangam

The Ceylan Music Band gives a new look on Indian music with a contemporary interpretation ranging from Indian to Afro, jazz and rock accents. Under the direction of brothers Senthil and Balakumar PARAMALINGAM, who were political refugees, the arrangements remind us that the history of Sri Lanka echoes those of the islands in the Indian Ocean (Madagascar, Mauritius, Reunion Island) where cultural blends between Indians and Africans were many.
